A Winter Morning Swimwear Campaign in Coolangatta - Lifestyle Photography on the Gold Coast
There’s something about a winter morning on the Gold Coast that feels tailor-made for lifestyle imagery. The soft light, the calm sea, and the untouched stretches of sand create the perfect setting for a fashion photoshoot. On this particular day, I had the privilege of capturing a stunning swimwear campaign for Waev Sports, in the beautiful coastal town of Coolangatta - and it was everything a photographer could hope for.
The Start of a Dream Shoot
The day began early, as I picked up our gorgeous model Maria, a familiar face in front of my lens and someone I knew would bring effortless grace to this beach shoot. She was my first choice when Waev booked me for our debut campaign together, and she exceeded every expectation.
We met with Waev’s warm and welcoming owners, Helena and Tom, at a secluded beach spot in Coolangatta. Hidden behind lush greenery and opening up to one of the most breathtaking ocean views on the Gold Coast, it felt like our own private paradise - the perfect backdrop for a lifestyle shoot.
Capturing Sustainable fashion in Style
We began shooting a few unreleased dress designs, each crafted from sustainable fabrics - a detail that makes my work as a photographer even more meaningful. Shooting for eco-conscious fashion brands allows me to combine my love for creative imagery with my passion for ethical fashion.
One of the highlights of the day was photographing the Aquamarine. The design’s multiple layers and soft blue tones made it look like Maria was wrapped in the ocean itself - a truly special moment in this campaign shoot.
The Final Look - Waev’s Continuum Bikini
To close the session, we shot Waev’s newest drop, the Continuum Bikini. With its unique colours and perfect fit, it was a standout piece that translated beautifully in both photography and video content.
By the end of the shoot, I could not wait to start the editing process - the images promised to be some of my favourite lifestyle photography work to date.

This day was more than just a fashion photoshoot - it was a collaboration filled with creativity, laughter, and shared vision. Helena and Tom’s passion for their brand, combined with Maria’s natural elegance, brought the entire campaign to life.
